SLOW MOUNTAIN SCHENNA
Autumn and winter in Schenna –
it would be a great pity to deprive you of this wonderful late autumn and pre-Christmas time with us.
In November and December you can experience our wonderful region very gently. Not only the nature with its innumerable leisure possibilities is in the focus of this time but also the pleasure. At Schenna’s alpine huts, Tyrolean Stuben and traditional restaurants you will be spoilt by our hosts with South Tyrolean specialities. We are already looking forward to the fresh wine and a „Knödel“ tris (dumplings). Which „Knödel” do you like best? Cheese, spinach or speck?
By the way: Due to our mild climate, temperatures can reach over 20 degrees Celsius on beautiful days, even in late autumn, thanks to our wonderful sunny position above the spa town of Merano. Not only for hikers our region offers many possibilities, also our big and small winter sportsmen get a lot offered in the ski area Merano 2000.

In autumn and winter you can experience many different events in the Schenna area, e.g. „speck“ tastings (bacon), sunset hikes, „törggelen”, … From the end of November to the beginning of January you will find an ice skating rink in the village centre. A real insider tip in December, far away from the hustle and bustle of the big Christmas markets in the towns, is the traditional advent farmers market with its very own charm.
